The Mattie T Blount High School Band Department is a comprehensive band program including several musical ensembles and performing groups. The department consists of the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Ceremonial Ensemble, Pep Band, Drumline, Dance Team, Majorettes, Flag Corp, Percussion Ensemble, and of course the Mighty Marching Leopards Band. This group of talented student musicians encompass a wide variety of diverse individuals committed to maintaining the tradition of excellence established in 1958. The BHS Marching Band is open to all students of MT Blount High School and other groups are selected through an audition process.
